The 2011 judging panel includes: Eric Akis - A chef and food writer, Eric is the best-selling author of the Everyone Can Cook series of cookbooks. His twice-weekly, recipe-rich, popular food columns are published in the Times Colonist. Gary Hynes - A former chef, sommelier and restaurateur turned food writer and magazine publisher, Gary owns and publishes EAT, the award-winning BC food and drink magazine. EAT Magazine was founded in 1998 and is read bimonthly by over 100,000 avid food and wine lovers around BC. Denise Marchessault - Cooking instructor and proprietor of French Mint, Denise is classically trained in French cuisine. A Le Cordon Bleu graduate, she is a recipient of the Grand Diplôme in recognition of superior level qualifications in both cuisine and pastry. Denise is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
